Precision Engineering
Every frame is created in a CAD drawing, from which we generate a measured cut list for each frame part, ensuring the highest accuracy and quality in the finished product. Welded frames are square, plumb, level, and true to size specifications.
Frame finishing options
Choose from powder paint, with or without primer, liquid paint, anodized or mill finish frames. Each finish is carefully applied to enhance both aesthetics and longevity.
Fabric Options
Options include traditional fabrics like solution-dyed acrylics, polyester fabrics, PVC-coated polyester, cotton, vinyl laminate, backlit fabrics, coated cotton, and custom striping.
Fabric Selection
We offer an extensive selection of fabrics from numerous manufacturers. Notably, our fabric awnings feature welded body seams, eliminating the risk of sewn seam failures. The result is a near-seamless professional panel appearance that combines functionality with aesthetics. Welded seams also allow us to use multiple colored panels to create custom striped fabric panels without the sewn seam. Adding countless fabric color combos to your choices.

Graphic Options
Awning and sign graphics options include PSA vinyl cutting digitally printed PSA vinyl. RF welded inset graphics, heat transfer, screen printed, painted, and photo quality printed directly to fabric.
Metal Awnings and Sun Shades
Looking beyond fabric? Explore our range of metal awnings and sunshades. These sturdy solutions provide effective sun and rain protection while adding architectural flair to your space. We also offer traditional awning shapes with metal covering options such as flat panels or standing seam roof panels.
Cantilevered Metal Awnings
Flat metal overhang-style awnings can be cantilevered from the building for a sharp, clean, modern look. These units can also have integrated gutter systems to control water runoff. Widths can wrap an entire building or just cover a door or window; projections generally range from 2-4 feet. Bottom panels are often fitted with LED down lighting.
Tie-Back Supported Metal Awnings
Tie-back systems offer a similar construction as cantilevered systems but are directly mounted to the building wall and additionally supported by threaded rods returning at an angle and mounted to the wall. Tie-back frames can be fitted with an open louver for shade only or with panels for rain and snow protection.
Sunshades
Sunshades generally offer a louver system of aluminum panels angled to block the sun's rays at midday. There are usually gaps between panels, so rain and snow will pass through. Sunshades generally will not block all the sunlight coming through a window or into an area, but they will minimize it.
Sunshades have a perimeter frame to hold the louvers. This frame can also have a vertical face for graphics or to provide architectural interest. Sunshades can be back-mounted/cantilevered or mounted with a tie-back system.
Shade Sails
For commercial patios, residential properties, bars and restaurants, daycare centers, assisted living, schools, parks, walkways, outdoor break areas, etc.
Wausau Canvas Co. manufactures and installs tension shade systems for a wide range of customers and settings. These popular shade solutions can provide a medium to large shaded area with minimum components, making it a cost-effective shade solution.
Shade sails can be attached to inground posts and structural components of buildings and walls. Posts can also be flush mounted to solid concrete slabs, patios, etc., in addition to inground options. Load limits on the anchors and posts must be calculated for a proper, safe installation.
A variety of fabrics can be utilized for shade sails. Knitted polyethylene mesh is the most widely used option, offering a wide range of colors. Knit mesh shade cloth is not waterproof and will allow water to pass through at various rates depending on the angle of the shade and the openness percentage. Most are about 85%-95% shade and 5%-15% open. Non-mesh fabrics can be used for customers who prefer a solid cover for rain protection.
Shade sails create a striking architectural feature that makes a space look and feel unique and special and provides the added benefit of shade and shelter from UV exposure.
